Over the past two months the garage apartment has sprung to life. We chose cypress wood siding, cedar shake shingles to match the main house, and a copper cupola complete with a new “country doctor comes to town” weather vane.

Kellan and Bently on a site visit. As Bently and I were looking out of the windows, Kellan came up from behind and patted her hiney. She was unaware of his presence for a moment, but greatly relieved to turn and confirm that it was indeed his hand doing this. Awkward, to say the least.
