Master Suite

????????

Saving claw foot tub

????????????????The master bedroom was the original detached kitchen.  It was remodeled many years ago, and was attached to the house by a cedar closet.  This space will be completely remodeled, exposing the fireplace, and reworking the bathroom, with an addition of his and hers closets.  The small porch off this bedroom will be enlarged to include a twin bed swing to be constructed by Jordan.

Ceiling removed in preparation for construction

September 6, 2014

Back wall has been removed exposing the fireplace, and the ceiling has been vaulted.  The closet has been stripped, and converted into two parts:  a hallway connecting the Master Bedroom into the Great Hall, and a cozy study for Mike and I.  A window will be added to the study for inspiration and breathing room.

The fuse box will be moved to the basement.  Wouldn’t you hate to rewire that mass of wires?

Spray Foam and Sheetrock In Place

This room will be toasty warm with the blown in insulation and fireplace.  The sheetrock defines the wall behind the fireplace that separates the bedroom from the bathroom.

From studs to beams, things happen quickly.  The horizontal wood came from the house.

Master Patch

Since this was once the kitchen, the floor was plain. We placed pine throughout for uniformity.
